Alexa is a website traffic ranking service that shows you how much traffic your site gets relative to every other website on the internet -- basically, they do a similar thing on the web as Neilson Ratings did for television.  For example, Alexa says that this blog is the 87,323rd most trafficed site on the internet.

I thought this was an for the top 6 on demand players in the market today.  It is interesting to note that all of the vendors have slipped in Alexa rankings over the last six months and even more interesting to see how much Oracle on demand's rankings have slipped.

Alexa's ranking is not perfect.  It's accuracy is a function of the population of people who download their toolbar.  This population is more technical than the general population and that skews the results a bit.
